Maria Sunshine: "Nothing is as it appears to be". Maria is thrilled to be able to perform on-stage with her sister Mary Sunshine. Maria is one of those characters who is the true expression of what it means to be a lady. Although Maria has played such roles as Eva Perone in Evita, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and Anger in Conversation With Myself (in contention in the Samuel French Off Off Broadway One Act Festival at the Chernuchin Theatre in New York City), it is such comic roles as Ursula in The Little Mermaid, An Under Sea Extravaganza and the Witch in Into the Woods that she truly loves. Having studied dance for 10 years, concentrating in Fosse style movement, she was thrilled to be part of the cast for RARE’s production of Chicago. She dedicates this show to all those who know what she is like away from the lights and makeup, yet still love her just the same.
