Meet the talented performers who bring our shows to life!

Hunter.png
Hunter Anderson:  In addition to serving as an assistant director, Hunter has been a regular performer with The Two Of Us Productions.  His appearances have included:  Sky (Mama Mia),   Nana & Slightly (Peter Pan) and Max (Lend Me a Tenor). Hunter is a 2017 NYSSSA school for theatre alum. NYSSSA is a month long acting conservatory-style program where he and other students throughout New York State auditioned to attend. 28 total students got to experience NYSSSA and learn theatre skills from various professors and workshops. He played Benedick in a small scene from Much Ado About Nothing, one of his favorite Shakespeare shows. Hunter was also very involved in the THS theatre program, especially the Fall Festival of Shakespeare where he found a love for Shakespeare’s work. Some of his favorite roles from HS include, Lumiere (Beauty & the Beast), Marius (Les Miserables), Bert (Mary Poppins), Romeo (Romeo & Juliet), and Orlando (As You Like It) .  Hunter is currently studying theatre design and technology at Wagner College.

Diane Boice-Yorck:  Among Diane’s favorite performances with the RARE Inc.are Mama Morton in Chicago, Claire Ganz in Rumors, and Julia in Lend Me a Tenor. Other fun roles have been as a priest in Jesus Christ Superstar, and Red Riding Hood’s grandmother and the voice of the giant in Into The Woods. She also proudly served as a member of the ensemble in Mama Mia, Young Frankenstein, Les Misérable and Tale of Two Cities. Diane is the Deputy Democratic Election Commissioner for Columbia County; proud mother of two amazing daughters, Amanda and Elizabeth, and grandmother of incredible twins – Warren and Sylvia.  She continues to thank Steve and Connie and their support staff for their attention to detail and their above and beyond efforts to provide the local community excellence in theater. And of course, Diane especially thanks her wonderful husband, fellow thespian Brian Yorck, pushing her on stage in the first place!

John Costa:  John is excited to be on stage with The Two of Us Productions.  Deathtrap was his third mainstage appearance with The Two Of Us Productions. He has also appeared as the wily Attorney General in A Tale Of Two Cities, followed by the Lead Knight of Ni & Sir Bors in Spamalot.  John has been very busy behind the scenes with the technical and set building aspects of several productions.

Amy Hausknecht:  Amy’s most recent in-person performance with RARE Inc. was as part of the troupe for Skits from Carol Burnett.  She has also been seen in the area recently in A View From the  Bridge (Beatrice) and Our Town (Mrs. Webb) at The Ghent Playhouse.  She has also performed at The Whitney Center for the Arts in The Laramie Project and the V-day celebration of the Vagina Monologues.  She is a graduate of Northwestern University and CUNY Law School.  Sit back, tug your left ear, and enjoy live theater!

Tara Kalish:  Tara is delighted to once again be working with The Two of Us Productions after last appearing as Cinderella in Into the Woods. Tara has performed off-and-on with The Two of Us Productions and R.A.R.E. since 2006. Favorite roles with The Two of Us Productions include Sally Bowles (Cabaret), Natalie (next to normal), The Lady of the Lake (Spamalot), and Cinderella (Into the Woods).  Other performance credits include Berkshire Theatre Group's staged reading & Musical Monday series, The Berkshire Community College Players, and the MacHaydn Theatre. Tara holds a B.S. in Arts Administration and a Dance minor from Wagner College and works as a fundraiser for nonprofit arts and human services organizations. Thank you to Connie and Steve for giving me the opportunity to perform with you remotely from New Hampshire and to Tony and Roman for all your support.

John Leinung:  After 40 years behind the camera as an editor, cameraman, producer, and voice-over artist, John has returned to his first love, “treading the boards.” (Can one “tread” Zoom?) Back in the day, John’s rolls included Chris Keller in "All My Sons," Henry in "The Skin of our Teeth," and John Hancock in "1776." More recently, John appeared in Shakespeare in the park (well, a park, on Staten Island…) as Lennox in The "Scottish play," and most recently in numerous “Zoom productions” with The Two of Us Productions.  John is delighted to be working with all the talented people associated with The Two of Us.

Mark Leinung:  A veteran of Two of Us Productions, Mark has appeared in over a dozen main stage productions, numerous murder mysteries and over a dozen of the recent Virtual Live-Staged Readings productions including Joe Keller in All My Sons and Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol. On stage he was most recently seen playing Jonas Fogg in Sweeney Todd and Sam in Mamma Mia. Favorite roles include: Tito Morelli in Lend Me A Tenor, the Hermit in Young Frankenstein, Pontias Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar, Bishop Myriel in Les Miserables, Father in Ragtime, and Cliff Bradshaw in Cabaret. Mark’s wife Jill is the resident house and box office manager for RARE Inc.

Matt Leinung:  Matt has appeared as Sidney Bruhl in Deathtrap, Drs. Fine/Madden in next to normal, Victor in Young Frankenstein, Bill Austin in Mamma Mia!, Les Misérables, Prince Herbert in SpamalotSister Mary Ignatius, Glen Cooper in Rumors! and in Tale of Two Cities with The Two Of Us Productions. He appeared (and wowed the audience) in CHICAGO.  When not on stage he might be found in the orchestra pit (Horn) or crewing backstage

Constance Lopez:  In addition to her responsibilities as Co-Producer & Choreographer in Residence, Connie has many years of experience both on stage and on the production team.  She has a passion for sharing her love of the performing arts with children and young adults.  Her many performing credits include: Mother in Ragtime, both the roles of Roxie and Velma in Chicago, all three roles in Agnes of God with various companies, the M.C. and Sally in Cabaret, and Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, among other musicals.  Dramatic and classical works have included: Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Joan in Shaw’s St. Joan, and the title role in Sophocles Antigone.  Film and TV credits include: Succession, I Know This Much Is True, Things Heard and Seen, A Bread Factory, Niagra, Niagra, Taking Woodstock, A Place Beyond The Pines, and others. She has performed Off – Broadway as Carol in The Real Desperate Housewives of Columbia County (at the Laurie Beechman Theater), Natalia Pushkin in Pushkin-A Poet’s Search for Honor (at the Westbeth), and Pauline in The Widow and the West Indian Workman (at Harlem Rep). She is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association (appearing in their Labor Day 2019 social media campaign and SAG-AFTRA.

Kimberly Mauch:  Kim is always excited to be back on the stage with the Two Of Us Productions. She has appeared as Faulein Blucher in Young Frankenstein, in the Company for Chicago and as the live-sound tech for Jesus Christ Superstar. When she’s not on stage, Kim enjoys the challenge of making specialty props for some of the productions and doing a great job serving as costume mistress.  Kim wants to thank her husband Brian, who shares her love of theater, for "always loving and supporting me!"

Brian Mauch:  Brian has worked with Two of Us Productions for more than a couple of years both in their murder mysteries & in several mainstage productions: The Creature in Young Frankenstein; Sir Galahad in Spamalot, Thenardier (The Innkeeper) in Les Misérables, the Royal Steward in Into The Woods, and Amos Hart in Chicago.  He has also helped out where and when he can with the set construction and breakdown. Cyndi Miller:  Cyndi is a regular performer with The Two of Us Productions.  She has appeared with as Helge Ten Dorp in Deathtrap, Diana in Lend Me A Tenor, the company in Chicago, and Jack's Mother/Cinderella's Mother in Into The Woods, and the Ensemble in Skits from Carol Burnett, Young Frankenstein, Mama Mia!, and Les Miserables. She came back to the stage in 2011 after a 30 year absence and is having tremendous fun. When not on stage she is a physician at Albany Medical Center and spends quality time worrying about her two wonderful adult children.

Nicole Molinski:  Nicole loves performing with The Two of Us Productions!  Recent productions include Mamma Mia! (Sophie) with BCC Players, and in Terms of Endearment (Patsy, Doris, Nurse) with The Two Of Us Productions. Additional credits with The Two Of Productions include:  Peter Pan (Mrs. Darling, Indian, Grown Up Wendy), Cabaret (Lulu), Rumors (Cassie), and Chicago (Liz). Nicole also enjoys acting in murder mystery dinner theatre and film. Peter Mostachetti:  Peter, in his own words, “is without obvious defect” as he showed us as Clifford Anderson in Deathtrap.   Peter is thrilled that we've been able to continue to bring you live theater...hosted on Zoom throughout 2020 and into 2023!  In addition to our staged readings, you may remember Peter in several other RARE Inc. productions including: Spamalot (Lancelot) and Into the Woods (Cinderella’s Prince).  Over the last 20+ years, Peter has performed on stage from Albany to NYC.   When not acting, Peter is a licensed social worker, and Executive & Professional Development Coach (https://www.petermostachetti.com).

Karissa Payson:  Karissa is a Taconic Hills alum and was involved in the school’s theater department, including playing Eponine in Les Miserables. Karissa has appeared in many recent productions with The Two Of Us including:  Rose in A Shayna Maidel (TANYS Award), Juror #7 in Twelve Angry Jurors, Helga in Cabaret, Emma in Terms Of Endearment, Stage Manager in Actor’s Nightmare, Sophie Sheridan in Mamma Mia!, Maggie Saunders in Lend Me A Tenor, and as the tinker bell light operator as well as “chicken girl” in their production of Peter Pan.  She also served as assistant director of Lady And The Clarine. Stephen Sanborn:  Steve's stage direction credits include: Lady And The Clarinet, (2 TANYS Awards), A Shayna Maidel (4 TANYS Awards), Twelve Angry Jurors, Terms Of Endearment, Mamma Mia! (4 TANYS Awards), Lend Me A Tenor (5 TANYS Awards), Les Miserables (8 TANYS awards), Chicago (7 TANYS awards), Christ Superstar (6 TANYS Awards), Arthur Miller’s Broken Glass, regional premieres of Next to Normal (2 TANYS Awards), Ragtime-The Musical, & Tale Of Two Cities for The Two of Us Productions; Oliver! for FPNENY in Albany; Spamalot, Cabaret (8 TANYS Awards), Man Of La Mancha, A Chorus Line, Oliver!, and Chicago, for The Two Of Us Productions in collaboration with The Eagles Band Inc., The Owl & the Pussycat for New Day Repertory, A Little Night Music (2 TANYS Awards) for RPI Players, Broken Glass for Classic Theater Guild, and Bathroom Humor for Tickler Productions.  Steve also works in community, professional and public school productions throughout the Kingston-Albany-Berkshires areas as a pit musician, conductor & musical director.  Steve is the resident director & co-founder of The Two Of Us Productions, President of RARE Inc., and a proud member of SDC & AFM Local 14.  He has played in the pit for Barrington Stage’s productions of West Side Story & Stephen Sondheim’s Company, as well as with Park Playhouse’s Chicago.

Maria Sunshine:  "Nothing is as it appears to be".  Maria is thrilled to be able to perform on-stage with her sister Mary Sunshine.  Maria is one of those characters who is the true expression of what it means to be a lady.  Although Maria has played such roles as Eva Perone in Evita, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and Anger in Conversation With Myself (in contention in the Samuel French Off Off Broadway One Act Festival at the Chernuchin Theatre in New York City), it is such comic roles as Ursula in The Little Mermaid, An Under Sea Extravaganza and the Witch in Into the Woods that she truly loves. Having studied dance for 10 years, concentrating in Fosse style movement, she was thrilled to be part of the cast for RARE’s production of Chicago.  She dedicates this show to all those who know what she is like away from the lights and makeup, yet still love her just the same.

Mary Sunshine:  Mary is pleased to be an occasional performer with RARE Inc. after a long and distinguished career with the Chicago Tribune.  She was privileged to have been a confidant of Maurine Dallas Watkins, and was instrumental in the adaptation of Maurine’s published play to the screenplay for the 1942 Warner Brothers movie Roxie Hart, starring Ginger Rogers.  Mary is thrilled to lend her beloved operatic interpretations to this production and dedicates her performance to Beulah Annan and Belva Gaertner, who made it all possible.  She is also thrilled to be able to perform together with her sister Maria Sunshine.

Brian Yorck:  Brian most recently appeared as the Beadle in Sweeney Todd with RARE Inc.  His other credits include: Rudyard & Dr. Maise in Terms Of Endearment, Officer Welch in Rumors and as Billy Flynn in the spring 2016 production of Chicago. His roles as the Mysterious Man in Into the Woods and King Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar are among his favorites with The Two of Us. He also performed in the ensemble of Les Misérables and as Gaspard in Tale of Two Cities. Now retired, Brian enjoys golfing, coaching modified girls’ basketball at HVS, capturing the world in still photography and spending time with his family (wife Diane, daughter Amanda, twin grandchildren Warren and Sylvia, and daughter Elizabeth.  Brian is enthusiastic about sharing the stage (and computer screen) with such talented casts and thanks all who work to make these shows possible.

Benita Zahn:  Benita most recently appeared with RARE Inc. as the psychiatrist in their staged reading of Agnes of God.  She also appeared as the Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd with The Two of Us Productions. Regional: Capital Repertory Theater: Shakespeare in Love, Gypsy. Park Stage Company, Always Patsy Cline. Park Playhouse: Ragtime, Hands on a Hardbody. The Fort Salem Theater: They're Playing our Song, Getting My Act Together and Taking it on the Road. She's also appeared in numerous cabaret shows along with The Singing Anchors at FST.  When not onstage Benita anchors Live at 4 with Jerry Gretzinger who's also her cabaret partner: Side by Side, and with Jim Kambrich, Live at 6 on WNYT Newschannel 13. She and Kambrich perform staged readings (LOVE LETTERS, AN ACCIDENT) as charitable fundraisers. Benita recently appeared in the film Crypto and indie films Hobo Heyseus, The Engagement Party, Follow the Leader. Benita is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association. Love to Bob.
